PHAA Vic branch update - 26 May eventMAKING (SOME?!) SENSE OF THE HEALTH SYSTEM – HOW DOES IT ALL FIT TOGETHER……OR NOT? Come and join in an interactive and fun two hours of unravelling of one of the most complicated health systems in the world! Add some more pieces to your picture of how it all works. Listen to a few insiders give their explanations of their corners of the system Contribute to a lively exploration of how the multitude of health services (public and private, acute, primary, rehabilitation, early intervention, preventive, support), government departments (Local, State and Federal), funding streams (from Medicare to private health insurance to ARHRF), professional associations (ANF), regulatory authorities (PBS), workforce organisations (RWAV) and educational institutions (Unis, Colleges), consumer and carer organisations, preventive organisations, research centres and many, many, more all fit together…..or not… We will create a unique and somewhat anarchic map of the system for participants to receive after the event. Facilitated by Tony McBride (shy and) retiring CEO of Health Issues Centre and PHAA Victoria Executive member) Date: Tuesday, 26 May 2009, 5.30pm - 7.30pm (5.00pm registration) Venue: Alfred Medical and Research Precinct (AMREP) Seminar Room, Ground Floor of Education Centre
